LAHORE - Husband of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s daughter has approached a local guardian court seeking custody of his nine-year-old son Asfandyar.The judge of the Guardian Court Muhammad Waris Javed issuing notice to Fiza Batool, daughter of the PM, for June 11 has restrained her from taking the child out of the territorial jurisdiction of the court.
The court has also directed the respondent to appear before the court on next date of hearing along with the son of the plaintiff.
The couple having a single child had tied knot in 1998 and decided to separate around three years ago.
Khurram in his custody suit pleaded that his son was living with his mother for the last three years and now he had reached the age of nine years.
He said according to law, he was entitled to have the custody of his child as natural guardian.
He has prayed that till the final decision of the court on his suit an interim custody of the child should be given to him or he be allowed to meet his son in court’s premises.
Khurram further prayed the court to issue directions to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other immigration authorities not allow the respondent to take his child out of the country.
