Renowned Lollywood film actress Meera lodged a complaint with the Chief Minister’s complaint cell against her alleged husband, Attiqur Rehman, a private TV channel reported on Monday. Meera’s complaint also requests Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to provide security for her, as she claims that her life is in danger.
Following the registration of her complaint, Meera told journalists that the charges of theft leveled against her were totally baseless and devoid of truth. She said the house in Defence belonged to her, adding it was not possible for anyone to steal from their own house. She said she was a responsible person who had been representing Pakistan in the world for the past 13 years.
Meera also claimed that an Indian director, Faisal Saif, was attempting to ruin her reputation and had paid Attiqur Rehman to pretend to be her husband. Rejecting her claim, Attiqur Rehman said he did not know any Indian director named Faisal Saif, adding Meera was constructing stories to hide her marriage to him.
