Why American Students Listen to a Dictator’s Lectures?

When we read and hear all that lofty talk about the American Dreams, the vision of American forefathers, their unbound love for the democracy, people right, elections, elected governments, judiciary and civil privileges, we expect that the world’s sole super power and its people would standby their words in their practical lives.

But when we see that a former dictator, a murderer and a subjugator goes on a paid spree of lectures in America for a month long period in different universities, the heart sinks and the disappointment prevails. What wisdom and knowledge, a tinpot dictator is supposed to shower on the students of prestigious US universities? Are they desperate to learn as how the puppet of Uncle Sam performed or they are there to satisfy some kind of perversion with the murderer?

I wonder whether the students, in the post-lecture session, asked Musharraf as why did he murder Akbar Bugti and what right he had to murder people in Red Mosque and who in the  hell allowed him to stage a coup against an elected government and why did he sell his own countrymen just for $5000 to America? Have they asked him about the Martial Law, sacking of judges, incarceration of chief justice, suspension and violation of constitution, media restrictions, political vendetta and plethora of corruption stories?

And they even pay the man to tell them how he dictated?
