After wrecking havoc in many parts of the world, the dangerous Swine Flu has at last reached Pakistan and uptill now two patients have been identified with the Flu in Islamabad. Though they have been quarantined and been medicated, this is very alarming and as the track record in other countries show, this is very dangerous and epidemic.
According to the media news, One more suspected patient of Swine flu has been admitted to a hospital in Islamabad. The patient had recently come from Saudi Arabia after performing an Umrah. According to the spokesman of PIMS Hospital Wasim Khwaja, the suspected patient Abdul Salam, 65, has been shifted to PIMS Hospital from Poly Clinic. He said two Swine flu affected patients were already under treatment at a special ward set up recently for such patients.
The health ministry should wakeup before its too late. Already there are many problems in the country and we cannot afford a full blown epidemic. I hope that the minister of health is present in the country and knows something about health and knows where his office his and perhaps do something about it.
